Join the community of Essex, NY, for a festive two-day celebration packed with family-friendly activities, live music, and patriotic events on July 3rd and 4th, 2026. Brought to you by the Essex Volunteer Fire Department and the Town of Essex.
Schedule of Events
Friday, July 3rd
9:00 PM | Fireworks Over the Lake: Kick off the celebration with a spectacular fireworks display over Lake Champlain, sponsored by the Essex Volunteer Fire Department.
Saturday, July 4th
8:00 AM | Revolution Run/Walk: Start your morning active with a 6.5K run/walk.
9:15 AM | Little Rebels Run: A special, shorter run just for the kids, sponsored by Lake Champlain Yoga & Wellness.
11:00 AM | July 4th Parade! Gather along the streets to enjoy the community parade.
12:00 PM – 3:00 PM | Street Fair & Lawn Games: Head over to Beggs Park for a lively street fair featuring local shops, restaurants, live music, a bounce house, a dunk tank, face painting, and more. Lawn games will be hosted by the Lakeside School at Black Kettle Farm.
8:00 PM – 11:00 PM | Dance Party! Wrap up the holiday with a Block Party at Beggs Park, featuring a live DJ and dance music.
Food & Support: Don't forget to stop by the E.V.F.D. Fundraiser Food Tent on Saturday during the parade and street fair to grab some food and support your local volunteer fire department!
